SYRACUSE, N.Y. -- Syracuse is back in action Wednesday when it hosts Pittsburgh at 4:30 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. It marks the Orange's first game since an overtime win over Buffalo on Dec. 19. Syracuse enters the contest on a three-game winning streak, which has improved its record to 6-1, 1-0 in the ACC.

Fans can watch the game on the ACC Network and ACC Network Extra. In addition, Matt Park and Jim Satalin will call all the action on the Syracuse Sports Network from Learfield IMG College, including TK99/105 locally.

ORANGE UPDATE
Sophomore Quincy Guerrier scored a career-high 27 points to lead Syracuse past the Bulls. He was 8-for-13 from the field and 9-for-12 from the free throw line. Guerrier also pulled down 11 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season.

Guerrier ranks second in the ACC in scoring, averaging 18.0 points per game. The Montreal, Quebec native also ranks second in the league in field goal percentage (.662) and rebounds (10.0 rpg.).

Syracuse's offense has been the most productive of any team in the ACC this season. The Orange are averaging a league-best 83.7 points per game. In addition, the 'Cuse ranks second in margin of victory (15.9).

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Pittsburgh (5-2, 1-1) will also be coming off a long layoff when it takes to the court Wednesday. The Panthers last played on Dec. 22 against Louisville. The Cardinals defeated Pitt, 64-54, which snapped the Panthers' five-game winning streak.

Justin Champagnie is averaging a double-double this season. He leads the team in scoring (17.8 ppg.) and rebounding (12.3 rpg.). Toney Au'Diese (16.2 ppg.) and Xavier Johnson (14.4) also average double figures in scoring. Johnson leads the squad and ranks second in the ACC in assists (5.1 apg.).

Jeff Capel is in his third season at the helm of the Pittsburgh program. Previously, the Duke graduate served as head coach at VCU and Oklahoma.

Syracuse owns a 73-45 advantage in the series, which dates back to 1914. The Orange have won the last seven meetings with the Panthers, including both regular-season contests in 2019-20. Syracuse defeated Pitt, 69-61, at home behind 17 points from Marek Dolezaj. The 'Cuse swept the series with a 72-49 victory at the Petersen Events Center. Elijah Hughes led a group of three Orange to reach double figures in scoring with 25 points.

The Orange play their second of three consecutive home games Saturday, Jan. 9 when they host former BIG EAST rival Georgetown. Tip off is set for 8 p.m. on ESPN2.
