Brown, a 6-9, 210 forward, plays at Blue Ridge School for Coach Cade Lemcke. He is a native of Culpeper, Va., and averaged 12.9 points per game in his junior season. 247sports.com ranks Brown as the seventh best player in Virginia. He is rated 47th among power forwards by ESPN.com.
Bunch, a 6-8, 190 forward, is enrolled at Wasatch Academy in Mount Pleasant, Utah. He hails from Concord, Calif.and is a four-star prospect. He ranks 58th nationally and is the third best prospect in Utah in the Class of 2022, according to 247Sports.com. ESPN.com has Bunch as a four-star recruit rated 97th overall and 27th among small forwards.
Carey, a 6-11, 190 center/forward, attends Northfield Mount Hermon School (Mass.) and is ranked as the sixth best player in Massachusetts, according to 247Sports.com. Carey played AAU basketball with the New York Lightning.
Copeland, a 6-6, 175 guard, hails from Gettysburg, Pa. and plays for national powerhouse IMG Academy (Fla.) under Coach Chad Myers. He is ranked 86th nationally according to Rivals.com and is considered the 27th best player in Florida by 247Sports.com. ESPN.com has Copeland rated as the 20th point guard in the Class of 2020.
Taylor, a 6-6, 200 forward, is playing alongside Copeland at IMG Academy (Fla.) this season, after transferring from St. Anne's-Belfield School (Va.), where he was coached by Damin Altizer. Rivals.com rated Taylor 65th overall. He is 83rd nationally and the 15th best player in Florida in the Class of 2022, according to 247Sports.com. ESPN.com has Taylor as a four-star ranked 100th overall and 28th among small forwards. Taylor is from Charlottesville, Va.
Syracuse opened its 2021-22 season by defeating Lafayette on Nov. 9, 97-63. The Orange are in action again on Sunday, Nov. 14 against Drexel at 5:00 p.m. in the Dome.
The National Letter-of-Intent program was started in 1964. Administered by the Collegiate Commissioners Association (CCA), the program was designed with prospective student-athletes in mind. A signed letter-of-intent indicates a prospective student-athlete agrees to attend the designated college or university for one academic year. Institutions agree to provide athletics financial aid for one academic year to the student-athlete, provided the student-athlete is admitted to the institution and is eligible for financial aid under NCAA rules.
