Softball Opener Canceled Due to Inclement Weather

Due to inclement weather in the forecast Thursday, the first day of games of the ACC Pod weekend at Anderson Stadium in Chapel Hill, N.C., has been canceled.

The 2021 Syracuse softball season will have to wait one more day. The doubleheader against the Irish scheduled for Thursday at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. will not be rescheduled. The Orange's next scheduled game is Friday at 4 p.m. vs. Notre Dame.
'Cuse will then play North Carolina on Saturday (11 a.m./1:30 p.m.) and Sunday (11 a.m.) before returning home to central New York. All three games against the Tar Heels will be streamed live on ACCNX through the ESPN App.
