The Orange ice hockey team returns to Tennity Ice Pavilion this weekend for a weekend series against Mercyhurst. Syracuse has won four of the past seven meetings against the Lakers, including the 2019 College Hockey America semifinal game. The first game is Friday at 7 pm and the teams will square off again on Saturday, Feb. 6 at 3 pm. Both games will be streamed live on Cuse.com.

Syracuse (3-6-1 overall, 3-4-1 College Hockey America) beat RIT, 3-0, on Wednesday night, while Mercyhurst (4-4-1) defeated Robert Morris, 4-2, in their last contest.

Syracuse leads the nation in combined special teams (64.1%/41-of-64) and ranks in the top 10 power play scoring and penalty kills. The Orange is second in power play scoring (22.2%) and tied for second in penalty kill (94.6%).

DiGirolamo Joins 60 Point Club
Senior Jessica DiGirolamo joined the Orange ice hockey 60 Point Club after scoring two goals in Syracuse's 3-0 win at RIT on Wednesday at the Gene Polisseni Center. She has tallied 20 goals and 40 assists in her 119 career games. It is the third time DiGirolamo has scored two goals in a game in her Syracuse career.

Small Stands Tall
Goalie Allison Small holds the Syracuse career save percentage record with a .921 mark. She has recorded 25 or more saves in 22 of her 34 career games, and 30 or more saves in 15 of those contests. Her 44 saves against Penn State on Dec. 6 ties for the third-best save total in NCAA women's hockey in 2020-21 (as of Jan. 17) and ties for ninth on Syracuse's single-game record list.

Moloughney Leads Scoring
Junior Abby Moloughney leads the team in scoring with nine points and is tied for the team lead in assists with Lauren Bellefontaine (5). Senior Victoria Klimek leads the team in goals (5). Through nine games this season 15 players have scored at least one point.

Leaders Against the Lakers
Junior Lauren Bellefontaine and junior Abby Moloughney lead this year's team in scoring against the Lakers. They each have eight points (2 G/6 A).
