Nine former Orange – including a trio of highly ranked DB prospects - laced up their cleats one more time on the Ensley Athletic Center turf for NFL scouts to assess their abilities.
Over 40 scouts, coaches and NFL player personnel members were on hand from nearly every franchise to watch the workouts.
The DB trio of Ifeatu Melifonwu, Trill Williams and Andre Cisco were those who drew the biggest crowds for their performances. Cisco, only bench pressed as he's recovering from an injury, put up 17 reps at 225 lbs.
Melifonwu turned heads with his speed and jumping ability. Melifonwu posed a 41.5" vertical, 11'2" broad jump and a consensus time in the low 4.4s among the scouts' hand times.
Williams benched 225 lbs 20 times, had a 36" vertical and was also in the low 4.4s as well.
Nolan Cooney, the fourth member from the 2020 squad to participate, was put through a punting workout on the Orange's practice fields.
Syracuse also brought back Antwan Cordy, Kenneth Ruff, Evan Adams, Lakiem Williams and Otto Zaccardo to workout after their Pro Day was canceled last year.
Ruff had the day's high on the bench press, lifting 225 lbs for 30 reps, with Zaccardo's 28 reps close behind. Lakeim Williams had 24, while Evan Adams had 23.
Lakiem Williams showed his athleticism as well with a vertical jump of 37.5 inches. He also added a 10'5" broad jump and a sub-4.6 second 40.
Zaccardo was not far off Melifonwu's high on the vert, leaping to 39.5 inches, which was the second-best mark among the participants.
Fan-favorites running back Moe Neal repped 21 on the bench press, and had a 32-inch vertical, while Antwan Cordy also benched 21 times and had a 34-inch vertical.
