
10 Orange Named to NFHCA Academic Squad

SYRACUSE, N.Y.-- The Syracuse University field hockey team has once again been awarded for its student-athlete's academic achievements by the NFHCA.

Ten members of the team have been recognized for being in high-academic standing during the 2020 fall semester. Hailey Bitters, Claire Cooke, Chiara Gutsche, Pleun Lammers, Alex Morales, Clara Morrison, Kailey Smith, Marie Sommer, Emily Streib, and Florine van Boetzelaer all earned NFHCA National Academic Squad honors.

The NFHCA recognizes student-athletes who have maintained a 3.3 grade-point average or higher for the Fall semester of the 2020-21 academic year. This year, the 10 Orange athletes were among 1,200+ student-athletes from more than 75 Division I universities.

Syracuse is 7-4 overall and 2-0 this spring. The Orange next play on Saturday, March 27 at Duke.
