Williams Named To Iverson Roundball Classic Roster

Benny Williams, a 6-8 forward enrolled at IMG Academy (Fla.) who has committed to Syracuse, was selected to participate in the 2021 Allen Iverson Classic, scheduled for May 7-8 in Memphis, Tenn.
Williams will play for the squad coached by Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes in the Iverson Classic. The roster includes AJ Griffin, the younger brother of Syracuse's Alan Griffin.
Williams signed a National Letter of Intent with Syracuse in November 2020. He previously attended St. Andrew's Episcopal School (Md.) before moving on to IMG Academy.
He is a consensus top-55 recruit. Williams is ranked 51st overall and 11th among power forwards by ESPN.com. Rivals.com has Williams 22nd overall and the seventh small forward. He is 32nd overall and seventh among small forwards by 247sports.com.
Williams is a member of the Class of 2021.
