Three-straight games against top-five teams lies ahead

The Syracuse men's lacrosse team remained at No. 9 in the USILA Coaches Poll and the Inside Lacrosse media poll.

All-five teams from the ACC remain ranked in the top-10, with Syracuse set to face a top-five opponent on the next-three weekends.

In the USILA Poll, Maryland took over the No. 1 spot for the first time this season, garnering 416 points and 19 first-place votes. Notre Dame ranks second with 390 points and a pair of first-place votes, followed by Duke (370), Virginia (361) and North Carolina (331) in succession.

The Orange's opponents are once again well represented, as Syracuse has or will face: No. 2 Notre Dame (twice), No. 3 Duke, No. 4 Virginia (twice), No. 5 North Carolina, No. 11 Army, No. 18 Stony Brook and No. 19 UAlbany, as well as Vermont, who is receiving votes.

In the Inside Lacrosse poll, the top-five is the same, with the Orange also checking in at No. 9.

Syracuse and North Carolina will face off at 3 p.m. on Saturday on ACC Network.
