One Orange: Black Athletes Lives Matter March
4/21/2021 5:54:00 PM | General
Hundreds of Syracuse University student-athletes marched in support of Black Athletes Lives Matter (BALM) today in Syracuse. The student-athletes of all races and backgrounds came together to amplify the cause of BALM through a march, not a protest, to expound the notion of Black Lives Matter to Black student-athletes. The event was organized by the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee's (SACC) Equity Committee and Diversity and Inclusion Student-Athlete Board (DISAB) with the goal of educating non-Black attendees and empowering Black student-athletes.
