Men's Rowing Checks in at #4

The Syracuse men's rowing team remained No. 4 in the latest Intercollegiate Rowing Coaches Association (IRCA) on Wednesday afternoon. The Orange debuted at No. 4 last week and remain in the same spot this week behind No. 1 Washington, No. 2 California and No. 3 Northeastern. Princeton, who raced for the first time last weekend, debuted at No. 5 in the poll.

The IRCA Poll ranks the top-20 varsity 8+ crews from all eligible heavyweight and lightweight programs. The IRCA is currently only ranking schools who have started official competition for the 2021 racing season. More schools will be added to the poll once they begin to compete, regardless of whether they are eligible for postseason competition.

The Orange began the season on April 18 with a pair of wins over crews from Navy and George Washington, who rank No. 7 and No. 12 in the most recent poll. Syracuse did not race last week and return to action for three races this weekend against No. 3 Northeastern, No. 6 Boston University and Wisconsin, who is tied for a No. 10 ranking with Stanford. All three races will take place on the Charles River in Boston, Mass.
