GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Syracuse freshman Viktoriya Kanapatskaya continues to add to her list of accomplishments in 2021. She was named to the women's tennis All-ACC Academic Team on Tuesday, June 22.

Kanapatskaya earned All-America honors after earning a top 16 seed at the NCAA Championship in May. She was voted the ITA Northeast Region Rookie of the Year and earned a spot on the All-ACC First Team. Kanapatskaya played predominantly at the No. 1 singles position for the Orange this season and recorded a 12-6 record. In addition, she paired with Natalie Novotna to defeat the No. 1 doubles team in the nation in Syracuse's NCAA first-round match against Kentucky.

Minimum academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0 grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career for undergraduate students. Athletic achievements during the most recent season are also considered in selecting the All-ACC Academic Team.
