Syracuse will be well represented in the Gold Cup semifinals later this week after the U.S. and Canada both won their quarterfinals matches on Sunday. Team USA defeated Jamaica, 1-0, while Team Canada posted a 2-0 victory against Costa Rica.

Tajon Buchanan and Kamal Miller were in the starting XI for Canada, which advanced to the Gold Cup semifinals for the fourth time. Buchanan has played a major role in creating offense for the Canadians, while Miller helped the team record its first clean sheet of the tournament.

Miles Robinson also helped Team USA put up a clean sheet in the quarterfinals as it moved on to the confederation semifinals for the 15th time in 16 editions of the competition. He played every minute in the quarterfinals and made several key defensive plays during the contest as he has throughout the tournament, helping the U.S. has allow just one goal in four matches.

The semifinals will take place on Thursday, July 29. Team USA faces Qatar at 7:30 Easter time in Austin, Texas, while Canada takes on Mexico at 10 p.m. in Houston.
