Orange continue to look ahead to season opener at Ohio
The Syracuse football team completed its first full week of preseason training camp this week. Catch up on everything you missed in this week's camp notebook:
Sunday, Aug. 8
The centerpiece of the $118 million in Dome renovations that will finally be unveiled to fans this fall is the largest center-hung video board in college sports. On the first Sunday of camp, the first-half of the team (upperclassmen) got all the video board elements, posed shots and other social media elements shot as part of the annual photo/video shoot. The shoot in total is comprised of about 16 hours of photo/video spread across 16 groups and two days.

Additionally, EJ Manuel, Dalen Cuff and ACC Network were on campus as part of the ACC road show. If you missed it the first time, you can watch on the ACCNX app as a replay or again live on the network tonight (Sunday) at 11 p.m.
Saturday, Aug. 14 | Scrimmage 1
The first-of-two scheduled scrimmages got underway on Saturday morning. Syracuse ran 131 plays in the session, which featured both thud and live tackling sessions. Drives ran mostly like a game, with the exception of the occasional drive reset after a third down stop for the same unit or halting a promising drive for the offense in order to get the proper personnel rotations for evaluation.
One offensive highlight was a highlight reel touchdown catch from wide receiver Courtney Jackson - one-of-two scores on the day for him. Defensive back Duce Chestnut came away with the signature takeaway, an end zone interception during a red zone period.Â
Both can be seen in the highlight package from the scrimmage:
