Buddy Named ACC Player of the Week

Syracuse senior guard Buddy Boeheim has been named ACC Player of the Week, an award voted on by a panel of media members who cover the conference.
Over two games last week, Boeheim averaged 27.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 38.5 minutes per game.
In a loss at Pittsburgh on Jan. 25, Boeheim posted a game-high 25 points, which included five 3-pointers. He had two rebounds, one assist and one steal while logging 40 minutes.
The Orange defeated Wake Forest on Saturday, 94-72. Boeheim had a season-high 30 points, just one shy of his career-best effort. He connected on 12-of-21 from the field, including 6-of-11 of his 3-point tries. Boeheim added a career-high seven assists, five rebounds and three steals in 37 minutes.
He is Syracuse's leading scorer, averaging 19.4 points per game. He has a squad-best 56 3-pointers and his 792 minutes played rank third among Division I performers.
Boeheim has accumulated 1,560 career points, good for a 19th-place tie on Syracuse's list.
The Orange play at NC State on Wednesday, Feb. 2, at 9:00 p.m. The game will be televised by ESPN2.
