Syracuse (6-4) welcomes Monmouth (1-9) inside the JMA Wireless Dome on Monday, Dec. 12 at 8:00 p.m.

The start time was adjusted to give fans a chance to watch men's soccer in the NCAA championship. Orange fans can catch the historic run in the dome with a specially priced $10 ticket for a reserved seat in sections 115 and 304. The soccer game against Indiana, which starts at 6 p.m., will be shown on the JMA Wireless Dome video boards, and the basketball game will follow live on Jim Boeheim Court, beginning at 8:00 p.m. The Dome will open at 5:30 p.m.
SETTING THE STAGE
The Orange are currently riding a three-game winning streak after defeating Georgetown, 83-64, on Saturday afternoon. A 12-0 run late in the first frame secured the lead which SU rode to an eventual victory.Â

The Hawks enter with a 91-54 loss to Princeton from over the weekend. Junior forward Klemen Vuga led Monmouth with 10 points in the defeat.

SYRACUSE-MONMOUTH SERIES
Syracuse has won both previous encounters with the Hawks. The series first began during the 2012-13 season. On Nov. 18, 2016, the Orange took a 71-50 win against Monmouth, which marks the most recent clash. Â

Edwards scored in double digits against the Hoyas for the ninth time in 10 games. Freshman guard Judah Mintz logged his first career double-double with 16 points and a career-high 10 assists. Senior guard Joseph Girard III added 15 points and sophomore forward Benny Williams recorded 13 points for Syracuse.

Senior Joseph Girard III is one of 20 players named to the 2023 Jerry West Award watch list, which is annually presented to the top shooting guard in Division I college basketball. Orange fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting for each of the three rounds. The list will be narrowed down to 10 in January, five in February, and the five finalists will be presented to Jerry West and the Hall of Fame's selection committee where a winner will be selected in March. MCNAMARA AND WARRICK JERSEY RETIREMENT
Twenty years after playing a major role in Syracuse's first NCAA Basketball Championship, Gerry McNamara '06 and Hakim Warrick '05 will have their Orange jerseys hoisted to the Dome rafters. The jersey retirements will take place on Sunday, March 4 when Syracuse hosts Wake Forest at 5:00 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.

20TH ANNIVERSARY OF '03 CHAMPIONSHIP
Syracuse University Athletics will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the men's basketball program's 2003 NCAA Championship throughout the 2022-23 season, culminating with a reunion at the March 4 contest with Wake Forest. Members of the 2002-03 national title team have been invited to return to Syracuse for planned activities the weekend of March 3-5, 2023. The Orange are scheduled to host Wake Forest on Saturday, March 4, in the final regular-season contest of the campaign. Those from the 2002-03 squad who are able to return, will be recognized at the game.
