Orange Hold Firm at No. 9 in Polls

Sets up Road Battle with No. 2 Virginia
For the second-straight week, the Syracuse lacrosse teams will head into a top-10 battle, this time it'll come on the road vs. an ACC challenger.
Syracuse held firm in both the USILA coaches and Inside Lacrosse media polls, after playing a tight game with No. 1 Maryland this past weekend on Syracuse Lacrosse Legends Day in the Dome. This week's opponent – the two-time defending national champion Virginia Cavaliers – will be ranked second when 'Cuse hits the road for the first time this season to take them on.
All but one of the Orange's remaining opponents are receiving votes in this week's USILA Poll.
The Orange have already faced No. 1 Maryland, but they have remaining games scheduled against No. 2 Virginia (twice), No. 4 Notre Dame (twice), No. 7 Duke, No. 10 North Carolina, No. 12 Cornell, No. 13 Johns Hopkins and No. 14 Army, as well as Hobart and Stony Brook, which both sit just outside the top-20 in the receiving votes category.
Syracuse and Virginia faceoff at Noon on Saturday on ACC Network, before returning home for a midweek contest against No. 14 Army. Tickets are available at Cuse.com/Tickets for all Syracuse home games.
