Orange Host Canisius in Midweek Double Header

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse (19-14, 3-10) will host its first mid-week double header of the season. The Orange will take on Canisius in a two-game non-conference battle on Wednesday, April 13.

The first game of the double header will begin at 1:00 pm and the second is set to start at 3:00 pm.

ORANGE UPDATE

Syracuse lost both games against arv Notre Dame this weekend. They lost the first game 5-2 and the second 9-0.
Angel Jasso led the Orange at the plate with three hits and one walk on the weekend including two doubles. She is ranked eight in the ACC in batting average (.376).
Jasso also recorded three stolen bases in the first game and one in the second game. She is tied for second in the ACC in stolen bases.
Paris Woods had a two-hit game in the second game of the series.
Syracuse did not commit and error in either game.
The third game of the series was canceled due to inclement weather.

THE OPPONENT
Canisius is in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference and is ranked fifth. Their record is 15-14 overall, 5-3 MAAC. Syracuse and Canisius have played one another 29 times throughout their history with the Orange leading the series 19-6. Syracuse has won its last nine consecutive games against the Griffins.

UP NEXT
The Orange will travel to Louisville for their weekend conference series beginning on Friday, April 15 at 5:00 pm. The second game will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm and the series will conclude on Sunday, April 17 at 12:00 pm.
