Top 10 Finish for Syracuse Dance Team

The Syracuse University Dance Team placed a program-best ninth at the 2022 National Dance Alliance (NDA) Collegiate Dance competition in Daytona Beach, Fla. The Orange competed in the DIA Jazz Division.

"I am so proud of this team and all of the hard work they have put into this season," said Dance Team Head Coach Megan Toomey. "They worked together, trusted each other and left it all out on the stage. I am excited to watch and contribute to the future of the Syracuse University Dance Team. This is only the beginning and I'm looking forward to next season!"

"I just knew there was something special about this team the minute they walked into Manley Field House the first day during pre-season," said Spirit Program Coordinator Francesca Beyer-Pike. "I am beyond proud of all of the work they have put in this year and the success they have achieved on and off the floor this year. I am so optimistic about the future for this program. It's only up from here!"

Syracuse's Dance Team started in 1997-98 and performed for the first time at a 1997 football game. The Orange competed in the NDA Collegiate Dance Competition for the first time in 2011.
