Syracuse Schedules Lehigh In November

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Syracuse and Lehigh will attempt to meet on the hardwood again in a scheduled contest on Monday, November 7 in the JMA Wireless Dome. The two programs were slated to square off last winter, but the game was canceled due to the pandemic.

Syracuse and Lehigh have met four times previously.
The Orange have claimed victory in each of the four previous matchups against the Mountain Hawks. The teams first met on March 3, 1923, in Archbold Gym, where the Orange emerged victorious, 28-16.
The schools last tussled in the Carrier Dome in Syracuse's opening matchup of the 2015-16 season on November 13. Michael Gbinije led the Orange to victory, 57-47, with a team-high 16 points. The 2015-16 team made the NCAA Tournament as a 10-seed and advanced to the Final Four for the fifth time with head coach Jim Boeheim at the helm.

The Mountain Hawks finished the 2021-22 campaign with a 13-19 overall record and a 10-8 Patriot League mark. The team defeated Army West Point in the quarterfinals of the Patriot League Tournament, 91-77, before losing to eventual champion Colgate in the semifinals, 81-61.
Coach Brett Reed owns 15 seasons at the helm in Bethlehem. He holds a 246-208 at Lehigh and is the winningest coach in program history. Reed last led the Mountain Hawks to the NCAA Tournament in 2012, when Lehigh knocked off second-seeded Duke, 75-70, in the first.
Syracuse was 16-17, the program's first sub-.500 season since the 1968-69 squad finished 9-16. Jim Boeheim, the winningest active coach in college basketball, is preparing for his 47^th campaign as head coach at his alma mater.
