De Vries Named to U.S. FIH Pro League Travel Roster

Three-time NFHCA All-American and rising Syracuse senior Charlotte de Vries has been named to the 26-person roster for the U.S. Women's National Team's upcoming Europe FIH Pro League games. The 15th-ranked United States' squad will play No. 7 Spain, No. 13 China, No. 6 India and No. 8 Belgium while overseas.Â
"We're really looking forward to this [FIH Hockey] Pro League tour," USWNT Head Coach Greg Drake said. "Both the schedule and the quality of the opponents present a huge challenge. We feel that our structure is improving, and our connections are building. We'll e looking to show this in our game play."Â
While 26 athletes will make the trip, only 18 will be selected prior to each game to compete. The FIH Pro League matches against No. 7 Spain will be played at the Sportcenterum in Antwerp, Belgium while the games against No. 13 China and No. 6 India will be hosted at HC Rotterdam in The Netherlands. The games against No. 8 Belgium will take place at HC Den Bosch in The Netherlands as well.Â
De Vries was named to the U.S. Women's National Team in the summer of 2021 after spending the previous years working her way through the national team system. She's also a member of the U-21 Women's National Team.Â
