Johnson Named To United Soccer Coach's Watch List

SYRACUSE, N.Y.—Syracuse senior Levonte Johnson was named to the United Soccer Coach's Forwards to Watch list for the 2022 season on Aug. 16. The Brampton, Ontario native is one of 30 Division I student-athletes selected for the watch list.
Johnson joins the Orange this season after transferring from Seattle University. In 22 games at Seattle, Johnson scored nine goals and registered eight assists. He led Seattle University in both categories for the 2021 season, as the Redhawks finished with a 13-8-1 record and received a NCAA Tournament berth. Johnson earned All-Far West Region honors from the United Soccer Coaches and was invited to MLS Combine as well.
Syracuse finishes its preseason schedule on Saturday, Aug. 20 with an exhibition match against Saint Francis at the SU Soccer Stadium. The match kicks-off at 7 p.m. and admission is free. The regular season begins with a home contest against Iona on Aug. 25th.
