
Domond Scores Twice, Orange Earn 2-0 Road Win

Graduate student Chelsea Domond scored twice and freshman Shea Vanderbosch earned her second straight shutout in goal to lead Syracuse (4-1-0) to a road triumph at Eastern Michigan (1-2-1), 2-0, on Thursday evening.
The victory extended Syracuse's win streak to three and made for a successful first road encounter this fall.
HOW THE GAME WAS DECIDED:
Domond scored what was ultimately the game winner just over five minutes into the second half. Freshman Gianna Savella earned the assist on the play. Domond then added an insurance goal some 20 minutes later, and Syracuse held off Eastern Michigan the rest of the way.
THE VANDERBOSCH WALL:
Vanderbosch, who played all 90 minutes in Sunday's 2-0 victory against Siena, posted her second consecutive shutout by holding the Eagles off the scoreboard. She made three saves on the evening.
