Syracuse University student-athletes invite all Orange fans and friends to make a positive impact on the Syracuse community through th third #44HoursofChange. The Syracuse University Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and the Diversity and Inclusion Student-Athlete Board (DISAB) are partnering to raise awareness for the issue of food insecurity in the Syracuse community. The student organizations are again supporting 'Blessings in a Backpack' to raise money to alleviate the hunger crisis that has a profound impact on the children of the Syracuse community.
Â
The third annual "44 Hours of Change" fundraising initiative on Friday, September 16th and Satruday, September 17th will benefit funding for meals for the children of Syracuse who have limited access to planned and nutritious meals. This initiative will help raise money to assist with providing food to children within the Syracuse City School District on weekends who may otherwise go hungry.
There are two ways to participate – make a donation and/or spread the word about #44HoursofChange via social media and within the community. To donate please use this link.
