Syracuse (11-6. 4-2) hosts Notre Dame (9-8, 1-5) inside the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, Jan. 14, at 7:00 p.m.

SETTING THE STAGE
The Orange roll in as winners of eight of their last 10 contests, a stretch that began at Notre Dame on Dec. 3. The Fighting Irish travel to the Hill after a 73-72 overtime win at Georgia Tech on Tuesday night, its first conference victory of the season.

SYRACUSE-NOTRE DAME SERIES
Syracuse controls the all-time series with a 32-23 advantage versus Notre Dame. The meetings against the Fighting Irish date back to the 1913-14 season and the Orange have captured three of the last four pairings. Most recently SU captured a 62-61 triumph in South Bend, Ind.

LAST TIME OUT
Syracuse defeated Virginia Tech 82-72 on Jan. 11. The Orange limited the Hokies beyond the arc, allowing 3-of-19 (.158) of the visitor's 3-point attempts.

Senior guard Joseph Girard III led the Orange with 24 points, marking his 10th consecutive double-digit contest. Freshman forward Maliq Brown grabbed a career-best 12 boards and 11 points en route to his first double-double. Senior Center Jesse Edwards added 13 points and a personal best six assists.

ORANGE LEADERS
Girard runs the SU offense with a squad-best 17.2 points per contest. Freshman guard Judah Mintz (15.7 ppg) leads the Orange with 4.0 assists and 2.1 steals per game. Edwards continues to average a double-double (10.8 rpg, 13.3 ppg).

SCOUTING THE FIGHTING IRISH
Graduate forward Nate Laszewski (13.6ppg., 7.6 rpg.) is the leading bucket-getter and rebounder for ND. Graduate guard Trey Wertz dishes out an average of 3.4 assists per game.

'CUSE FANS CAN VOTE FOR GIRARD
Senior Joseph Girard III is one of 20 players named to the 2023 Jerry West Award watch list, which is annually presented to the top shooting guard in Division I college basketball. Orange fans are encouraged to participate in Fan Voting for each of the three rounds. The list will be narrowed down to 10 in January, five in February, and the five finalists will be presented to Jerry West and the Hall of Fame's selection committee where a winner will be selected in March. MCNAMARA AND WARRICK JERSEY RETIREMENT
Twenty years after playing a major role in Syracuse's first NCAA Basketball Championship, Gerry McNamara '06 and Hakim Warrick '05 will have their Orange jerseys hoisted to the Dome rafters. The jersey retirements will take place on Sunday, March 4 when Syracuse hosts Wake Forest at 5:00 p.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.

20TH ANNIVERSARY OF '03 CHAMPIONSHIP
Syracuse University Athletics will celebrate the 20^th Anniversary of the men's basketball program's 2003 NCAA Championship throughout the 2022-23 season, culminating with a reunion at the March 4 contest with Wake Forest. Members of the 2002-03 national title team have been invited to return to Syracuse for planned activities the weekend of March 3-5, 2023. The Orange are scheduled to host Wake Forest on Saturday, March 4, in the final regular-season contest of the campaign. Those from the 2002-03 squad who can return, will be recognized at the game.
