Orange Conclude Home Regular Season Saturday on ACC Network
Saturday will be the final regular season game in the JMA Wireless Dome for Syracuse men's lacrosse. The Orange take on No. 3 Notre Dame at 2 p.m. on ACC Network. Drew Carter '19 and Tewaaraton Trophy winner Matt Ward will have the call.
Senior Day
Fifteen players and managers will be honored in a pregame ceremony. Fans are encouraged to arrive early to celebrate the seniors.
Brandon Aviles, Joe Bolea, Landon Clary, John Cohen, Griffin Cook, Pete Fiorini, Nick Fraterrigo, Cole Kirst, Jake Murphy, Michael Page, Alex Simmons, Brett Tenaglia, Harrison Thompson, and Shaffer Woody are the players that will partake in the ceremony. Student manager Ethan Cohen will also be honored during the ceremony.Â
History vs. Notre Dame
The last time Syracuse faced Notre Dame was May 1, 2022 in the Dome. The offense was led by midfielder Jackson Birtwhistle, who recorded a hat trick for the Orange. The game resulted in a 18-11 loss for Syracuse. This weekend will be the 20th matchup between Syracuse and Notre Dame. The overall record currently sits in Syracuse's favor at 10-9.
Dome Finale
Saturday's game against Notre Dame is the 42nd regular season finale in the JMA Wireless Dome. The Orange have dominated in their final Dome appearances with the overall record sitting at 35-6. Syracuse went undefeated in its final regular season Dome game from 1982 to 2002, winning 21 straight.
Freshmen PhenomsÂ
The class of 2026 showed out in Syracuse's latest win against Hobart. The squad was led by Joey Spallina's six points (4g, 2a) which moved him into the top 10 of the 'Cuse freshman scoring records. Michael Leo also contributed to the win with a season high three goals. Finn Thomson (1g, 1a) and Luke Rhoa (1a) also contributed to the 18-7 win.Â
Doubleheader in the Dome
Syracuse women's lacrosse also has a home game this Saturday in the Dome. The top ranked Orange will face No. 11 Virginia at 6 p.m. following the men's lacrosse game. The following ticket sales protocols will be in effect:
All tickets purchased for the men's lacrosse game will be valid through the start of the fourth quarter of the men's game. At that time, the Box Office will transition to selling women's lacrosse tickets and those will become the only valid ticket for entry for the women's game.
