Mark Named to Tewaaraton Award Watch List

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Syracuse University men's lacrosse goalie Will Mark has been named to the first round of additions to the 2023 Tewaaraton Award Watch List. The list was announced Thursday afternoon by The Tewaaraton Foundation.
The Tewaaraton Award annually honors the top college lacrosse player in the country. The Tewaaraton Award Watch List highlights the contenders for this year's award.
Mark , who transferred to Syracuse from LIU, has made major contributions in net this season for the Orange. He currently carries a 10.87 goals against average and has a save percentage of .596. He set season highs in saves (22) and shots faced (66) against Duke on March 5.
Mark joins attackman Owen Hiltz on the list of early contenders for the Tewaaraton Award. A second round of Watch List additions will be announced on March 31 and the Tewaaraton Award Ceremony will take place on June 1 in Washington, D.C.
The men's lacrosse team is set to face No. 11 Johns Hopkins at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, March 11 at 4 p.m.
