No. 36 Syracuse tennis (11-7, 4-7) hits the road for its regular-season finale this weekend and looks to snap a six-match losing skid. The Orange face No. 27 Notre Dame (13-9, 4-7 ACC) in South Bend, Ind. on Friday at 3:30 p.m., followed by a clash at Louisville (8-13, 0-11 ACC) on Sunday at noon.
'Cuse has won five of 15 matches against the Fighting Irish, and the Orange lead the all-time series versus the Cardinals, 7-5.
In its most recent clashes, SU fell by a final score of 6-1 to #7 NC State and 5-2 to Wake Forest. Syracuse's lone point against the Wolfpack came from Polina Kozyreva's, 6-4, 6-4, victory in the No. 4 singles flight. In the match against the Demon Deacons, the 'Cuse captured two points thanks to Shiori Ito's, 6-1, 6-0, win in the No. 2 singles flight and Ines Fonte's victory (6-3, 6-3) in the No. 3 pairing.
