
Autry Named Grand Marshall For Juneteenth Parade

Syracuse men's basketball coach Adrian Autry has been named the Grand Marshall for the 33rd Annual Juneteenth Cultural Festival Parade scheduled for Saturday, June 17, at 11:00 a.m. The parade will start from the Dunbar Center, travel through the South Side of Syracuse and finish at Clinton Square.
Juneteenth is a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the emancipation of African-American slaves. The 2023 Juneteenth event in Syracuse has been named "A Celebration of Family, Faith and Fortitude."
Following the parade, the Juneteenth Festival will continue on into the evening in downtown Syracuse's Clinton Square.
Autry was named the eighth head men's basketball coach at Syracuse following the 2022-23 season. A former standout player with the Orange, Autry had served on the staff of Hall of Fame Coach Jim Boeheim since 2010.
