
Men’s Lacrosse Slotted 18th in Final Media Poll

BALTIMORE – The Syracuse University men's lacrosse team finished among the top 20 teams in the final media poll, released by Inside Lacrosse Wednesday afternoon.
Syracuse (8-7) notched 52 points, ranking 18th in the Media Poll. National Champion Notre Dame was ranked first with 340 points and all 12 first-place votes. Duke was second with 321 points while Virginia ranked third with 308 tallies. North Carolina received votes, assuring all five men's lacrosse programs in the ACC were on the final list of the year.
Penn State registered 287 points while Johns Hopkins picked up 262. All told, seven teams the Orange faced in 2023 received votes in Poll: No. 1 Notre Dame, No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Virginia, No. 5 Johns Hopkins, No. 9 Maryland, No. 11 Princeton, and receiving-votes North Carolina.
