‘Cuse in the Pros: Week Three PLL Recap

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Week three of the 2023 Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) shipped the pros off to Columbus, Ohio for a weekend at the newly-opened Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium, rounding out the first block of games before a two-week hiatus.
Atlas LC Lost 19-18 vs. Waterdogs LC
Midfielder Brendan Curry took two shots against the Waterdogs during week-three action.
Defensive midfielder Peter Dearth caused two turnovers while snagging two ground balls against the Waterdogs. Dearth added two shots in transition as well.
Drake Porter dressed for week three as a backup goalkeeper.
Atlas assistant coach Steven Brooks, the team's offensive coordinator, helped guide Atlas LC to its highest offensive production of the season with 18 goals on 44 total shots, 33 of which were on cage.
Stephen Rehfuss was released to the Player Pool two weeks ago and was claimed by Atlas LC. He was not listed on the dress roster for week three.
Cannons LC Beat Chrome LC 14-13
Jakob Phaup was not listed on the week three roster as a faceoff specialist.
Chaos LC Beat Archers LC 15-10
Bradley Voigt was not listed on the week three dress roster.
Whipsnakes LC Beat Redwoods LC 18-11
Tucker Dordevic scored four points with one one-point goal, one two-point goal along with one assist. He took nine total shots with one ground ball. Dordevic's one-pointer was the game's first goal of the day. His two-point strike gave the Whipsnakes a 12-2 advantage late in the second quarter.
Cole Kirst took four shots as a midfielder, grabbing one ground ball in his second career PLL game. He had the chance to play against his brother, Connor, during the game.

After a two-week break, the PLL continues its barnstorming tour of the northern midwest, stopping off at TCO Stadium in Eagan, Minnesota, training home to the Minnesota Vikings. Chrome and Waterdogs lead off on Saturday, July 8 at 6 p.m., followed by Atlas and Cannons at 8:30 p.m. Sunday sees the Redwoods and Chaos meet on ESPN2 at 2 p.m. with Whipsnakes and Archers wrapping the weekend at 4:30 p.m.
