Knezkova Wins Two As Syracuse Closes Play At UB Indoor Invite

BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Syracuse University women's tennis team wrapped up the UB Indoor Invite on Sunday with a pair of victories.
Nelly Knezkova won her sixth straight singles match with a 7-5, 7-6 (5) result against Buffalo's Jagmeet Kaur. The sophomore went 3-0 at the UB Indoor Invite to back up her 3-0 mark at last weekend's Big Red Invite. Five of her six consecutive victories have come in straight sets.
Knezkova also added a doubles triumph alongside Shiori Ito, as the duo picked up its second win of the tournament by defeating Esmee Andresen and Marta Giglio of Buffalo by a 6-3 score. It was their sixth victory of the fall together.
Syracuse concluded the tournament with seven wins in singles and four in doubles.
Up Next
Serafima Shastova will represent Syracuse in the singles draw at the NCAA Individual Championships. Baylor will host the event in Waco, Texas, from Nov. 19-24.
