
Orange Move Up in All Three Polls

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Picking up a top-five win on Saturday, Syracuse University men's lacrosse moved up in all three polls this week, sitting just outside the top five in the two major polls.
Syracuse (6-2) moved up to the six spot in the USILA Coaches Poll, collecting 312 points. All five teams ahead of the Orange this week appear on the 2024 schedule: No. 1 Army West Point, No. 2 Notre Dame, No. 3 Duke, No. 4 Virginia, and No. 5 Maryland. Johns Hopkins, which the Orange dispatched 14-13 on Saturday, slid back to the eight spot after occupying the five last week.
Additional opponents in this week's USILA Coaches Poll include No. 15 Cornell, No. 17 North Carolina, No. 20 Delaware, which Syracuse meets on Saturday, with Colgate and Utah each receiving votes.
The Inside Lacrosse Media Poll saw it the same for the Orange, with 381 points to grab the number six spot. Opponents in the Media Poll included No. 1 Army West Point, No.2 Notre Dame, No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Duke, No. 5 Maryland, No. 7 Johns Hopkins, No. 15 Cornell, No. 16 North Carolina, No. 20 Delaware, alongside Colgate in the receiving votes column.
The USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Lacrosse Top 20 elevated Syracuse one spot to 10th.
No. 6/6 Syracuse carries on this weekend against No. 20/20 Delaware this Saturday at Luke McGuire Stadium in Chantilly, Virginia. The event, hosted by Corrigan Sports Enterprises' lacrosse division, will kick off at 2 p.m. on the campus of St. Paul VI Catholic High School.
