Another Top-10 Week for Men’s Lacrosse

No. 9/9 Orange Meet No. 4/2 Hopkins in Carolina
SYRACUSE, N.Y. – After a split week at home, the Syracuse University men's lacrosse team remained inside the top 10 in two of the major polls this week.
The Orange (5-2) dropped an overtime decision against then-No. 5 Army West Point on Wednesday before topping High Point, which was receiving votes, 19-13 on Saturday.
Syracuse collected 286 in the USILA Coaches Poll, sitting in the number nine spot. The Orange were also slotted ninth in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll with 285 points. Syracuse picked 11th in the USA Lacrosse Division I Men's Top 20 this week.
With reshuffling inside the top 10 this week, Syracuse has seven of the eight teams ahead of it in the Coaches Poll on the 2024 schedule: No. 2 Army West Point, No. 3 Notre Dame, this week's foe No. 4 Johns Hopkins, No. 5 Duke, No. 6 Virginia, and No. 8 Cornell. Additional opponents in this week's poll include No. 18 North Carolina, along with Delaware, High Point, and Utah, which all received at least one vote this week.
The No. 9/9 Orange square off with long-time rival No. 4/2 Johns Hopkins on Saturday, capping the 2024 Crown Lacrosse Classic.
