SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Senior Lindsey Hendrix was named the Atlantic Coast Conference Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday. Hendrix becomes the first Syracuse player to earn a weekly honor this season.

Hendrix went 2-0 versus No. 15 Virginia Tech to help the Orange earn its first series win against a top-15 opponent in program history. The southpaw threw two complete games, allowing just three runs (one earned), on nine hits while fanning five batters. Hendrix logged a 0.50 ERA and held the Hokies to a .176 batting average while earning her 10th and 11th wins of the season, a career high.
Â
The fourth year starter has posted an 11-3 record with one save across 20 appearances and 17 starts in 2024, pitching to a 2.39 ERA across 90.2 innings.
Â
Hendrix is the fourth Orange pitcher to earn the weekly honor, joining teammate Madison Knight (2023), Alexa Romero (2017 and 2018) and AnnaMarie Gatti (2016).
Â
Syracuse returns to action Wednesday afternoon when it concludes its non-conference slate with a doubleheader against Cornell at Skytop Stadium. First pitch of game one is scheduled for 3 p.m. with both contests airing on ACC Network Extra.
