Eight Syracuse upper classmen were named to the Reese's Senior Bowl Watch List on Wednesday.
Justin Barron, Alijah Clark, Fadil Diggs, Oronde Gadsden II, Kyle McCord, Savion Washington, Marlowe Wax and Dion "Tank" Wilson Jr. represent the Orange on the list. It's the most watch list members for the Orange in the 12-year history of the preseason watch list for the all-star game.
Matthew Bergeron was the most recent member of the program to receive a Senior Bowl invite, before he went on to be selected by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2023 NFL Draft. He currently starts on the Falcons' offensive line.
The ACC has 134 players on the watch list, which ranks third behind the SEC and Big Ten.
The Reese's Senior Bowl is widely regarded as the preeminent college football all-star game and the first stage in the NFL Draft process. The longest continual-running all-star game has taken place in Mobile, Alabama the past 75 years. More than 900 NFL personnel, including key decision-makers from all 32 teams, and over 1100 media members from around the country were credentialed this year. This past April, the game produced 110 total picks, representing 43 percent of the entire NFL draft.
