
Muchnick, Team USA Win Gold

Syracuse junior Emma Muchnick and Team USA defeated Canada, 23-6, in the gold medal game of the 2024 World Lacrosse Women's U20 Championship in Hong Kong, China. The United States won all seven of its games in the tournament, outscoring its opponents 211-20 en route to its sixth gold medal in eight tries.

Muchnick recorded a goal and a draw control in the final against Canada. She finished the tournament with 18 points on 15 goals and three assists. Her best performance came in the playoff opener against Puerto Rico. Muchnick scored two goals and dished out two assists and was named Player of the Match.

The Suffern, New York native played in all 22 games for the Orange in 2024. She posted career highs in every statistical category, including points (27), goals (14) and assists (13). The midfielder also had 15 ground balls and 20 draw controls to go along with five caused turnovers.
