
Men’s Lacrosse Ranked Third in USILA Poll

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – With three days to go until the 2025 season opener, Syracuse University men's lacrosse will begin the season as a top five team according to the USILA Preseason Coaches Poll.
Syracuse was slotted third in a vote of the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) coaches, picking up 469 points and one first-place vote. Notre Dame was slotted first with 559 points and the remaining 27 first-place votes. Cornell was ranked second behind 482 points. Virginia and Princeton rounded out the top five with 441 points and 434 points, respectively.
All five ACC teams were ranked inside the top 20 to begin the season, paced by Syracuse, Notre Dame and Virginia in the top five. Duke was ranked seventh with 414 points as its crosstown rival North Carolina was 16th with 129 points.
During the 2025 campaign, Syracuse will play 11 teams mentioned in the USILA Preseason Coaches Poll, including six inside the top 10: No. 1 Notre Dame (April 5), No. 2 Cornell (April 12), No. 4 Virginia (March 29), No. 6 Maryland (Feb. 15), No. 7 Duke (April 19), No. 8 Johns Hopkins (March 9), No. 16 North Carolina (April 26), No. 17 Towson (Feb. 10), No. 19 Harvard (Feb. 22), rv Utah (March 1), and rv Colgate (March 22).
The Orange officially open 2025 on Saturday, February 1 against Jacksonville University, the first meeting between programs. Game time is set for noon at the JMA Wireless Dome on ACC Network Extra and TK99/105 as Syracuse welcomes back one of its own, John Galloway '11, head coach of the Dolphins.
Season and single-game tickets are on sale for the 2025 Syracuse men's lacrosse season. Season tickets begin at $99 per ticket, averaging $11 per ticket, while single-game tickets start at $12.25 per ticket. Men's and women's lacrosse combo tickets are on sale for $130 per package, a savings of $29 off the regular season price.
