Men's Basketball Coach Adrian Autry and returning starters Donnie Freeman and J.J. Starling made the round-trip flight to participate in ACC Tipoff in Charlotte, N.C., on Tuesday.Â
The annual media event featured head coach and player representatives from each of the league's 18 teams. ACC Tipoff was split into three, half-day events, with six schools participating in each session.
Starling, a senior guard, and sophomore forward Freeman each averaged double-digit scoring for the Orange and own the most Syracuse experience on the 2025-26 squad. This year's team also includes one other returning player, six transfers and five freshmen.
Â
Coach Autry, Freeman and Starling moved through a media rotation that last five hours. It started with a stop at "Radio Row," where stations from throughout the ACC geographical footprint had the opportunity to conduct live and taped interviews, and ended with Freeman and Starling appearing live on the ACC Network with announcers Matt Shick, Debbie Antonelli, Luke Hancock and Joel Barry.Â
Coach Autry had his turn on the ACC Network set earlier Tuesday afternoon and joined Barry, Seth Greenberg, Hancock, and Shick.
Syracuse's crew was also part of a live press conference on the ACC Network that transitioned into a breakout session with the media in attendance.
Other media appointments included interviews with ESPN, ESPN.com, The CW (one of the ACC's television partners), the Field of 68 and Sirius XM. The group was also part of content creation photo shoots by ESPN Photo, the ACC Digital Network, CBS and Turner.
The ACC will announce its preseason poll, All-ACC and ACC Preseason Player and Rookie of the Year on Tuesday, Oct. 14.
