Sport Management Club to Hold Annual Charity Auction at Monmouth Game

The Sport Management Club at Syracuse University will hold its 21st annual Charity Sports Auction benefitting Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital beginning on Nov. 18 when Syracuse men's basketball hosts Monmouth in the JMA Wireless Dome. This year's event will maintain a hybrid format with bidding continuing through Nov. 23 via GiveSmart.
Support for Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital is made possible through The Upstate Foundation, a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit corporation. Opened in 2009, the hospital provides safe, innovative, and family-centered care to over 100,000 children annually across 22 counties. Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Upstate Pediatric and Adolescent Center (UPAC) at the Nappi Wellness Institute.
"Our team of staff, nurses, faculty, and resident physicians is dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of every patient and family. We are especially proud of our programs that help reduce the negative effects of childhood poverty, a critical part of our mission," said Steven Blatt, MD, Medical Director at Upstate Pediatrics and Adolescent Center. "We extend our sincere thanks to the Sports Management Club and Syracuse University fans for their support of our efforts. Your partnership will make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children and families we care for."
Over the past 20 years, the Sport Management Club in David B. Falk College of Sport has raised over $770,000 through the auction for Central New York non-profit organizations. Featured items this year include a Juan Soto signed baseball bat, Kyle McCord signed mini helmet, Lawrence Taylor signed jersey, and much more!
