Orange Doubles Team Qualifies for Semifinals at ITA Sectionals

The SU women's tennis team will continue to the third day of play at the ITA East Sectional Championship after upsetting the No.4 seed in the doubles contest today.

MOVIN' ON

Doubles duo Anastasia Sysoeva and Nelly Knezkova faced Bella Bergqvist Larsson and Kaitlyn Carnicella of South Carolina. The Orange took down the No.4 seed Gamecocks 6-1, 6-2 and will advance to the semifinal round of the tournament.

Syracuse will face Jasmine Conway and Anna Zyryanova of NC State Saturday Nov. 8 at 2:30 p.m.

STILL FIGHTING

Sysoeva continued play in the consolation bracket of singles play, defeating Maya Urata of Penn 6-4, 7-6(5).
