One of the premier college football games to open the year, Syracuse's game against Tennessee in the Aflac Kickoff Game has been set for a Noon start on ABC on Aug. 30. The announcement was made during Disney's Up Front, highlighting marquee week one contests.
The game pits the Orange and Volunteers against each other at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on opening weekend. Fans can visit Cuse.com/AflacKickoff to purchase tickets and plan travel, lodging and entertainment options for the weekend.
Both squads finished the 2024 campaign inside the top-20 of the final Associated Press Poll and posted 10-win seasons. 'Cuse thrived in Head Coach Fran Brown's first season, finishing No. 20 in the national poll, defeating three ranked teams along the way. The Vols made their first trip to the College Football Playoff in 2024, before falling to the eventual national champions in the first round.
It's the second kickoff time and major national broadcast network to select a Syracuse game in as many days, as Syracuse's November game at Notre Dame was announced to be shown on NBC on Monday.
