Syracuse Schedules Hoop Contest With Hofstra

Syracuse men's basketball will host Hofstra on Saturday, December 13, at the JMA Wireless Dome.

The Syracuse-Hofstra Series:

Syracuse has won all three previous contests with Hofstra.
The Orange won the most recent game, an 85-60 victory on Dec. 22, 2006.
The Orange and the Hawks first met in 2001-02.
All three pairings have been played in the JMA Wireless Dome.

Syracuse
The Orange return their top two scorers, senior guard J.J. Starling (17.8 ppg.) and sophomore forward Donnie Freeman (13.4 ppg., 7.9 rpg.), from the 2024-25 squad that was 14-19. Third-year coach Adrian Autry has added six transfers and five freshmen to the Syracuse roster.

Hofstra
Hofstra was 15-18 overall and 6-12 in the Colonial Athletic Association a season ago. Coach Speedy Claxton has guided the Pride to three 20-win campaigns in four seasons at the helm. Hofstra returns leading scorer Cruz Davis (14.4 ppg., 4.4 apg., 3.8 rpg.), a 6-3 guard.
