The Lally Foundation has launched a new Leadership On and Off Campus program at Syracuse University, designed to highlight and support student-led organizations making an impact in the community.
At every Syracuse home football game this season, the Lally Foundation will present a $5,000 award to one student organization in recognition of their philanthropic efforts. The funding is intended to help student groups further their charitable initiatives in the Syracuse community.
The program debuted this past weekend with Alpha Epsilon Phi Sorority being named the inaugural recipient. The sorority was recognized for its fundraising success supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Syracuse. Following their recent AEPHestival fundraiser, the Lally Foundation celebrated their impact with an additional $5,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Club.
Accepting the award on behalf of the sorority, Michal Brodie, VP of Philanthropy, emphasized the collective effort of every member, volunteer, and donor. "This wasn't just a personal moment, it was a recognition of the dedication my sisters show every day," she shared.
The Lally Foundation, which is fully self-funded by John and Laura Lally, emphasized that this new program underscores the power of student leadership and philanthropy both on campus and in the wider community.
"Congratulations and thank you for being leaders in supporting programs that provide opportunities and resources for children and teens in Syracuse," the Foundation noted in its announcement.
The Leadership On and Off Campus program will continue throughout the Syracuse football season, celebrating student organizations who embody service, leadership, and commitment to the Central New York community.
