
Orange Welcome Two New Members to Roster

SYRACUSE, N.Y.- The Syracuse women's tennis team is adding two new members to the roster for the spring season, head coach Younes Limam announced.
Leena Bennetto- Vernon, British Columbia, Canada
Bennetto is a graduate transfer from Princeton, previously serving as the Tigers' team captain during the 2024-25 season. She competed as high as the second spot at Princeton and has also stood at the 211th spot in the Junior ITF rankings. Bennetto has claimed two 15k doubles titles in Tunisia and five ITF doubles titles in Canada. Her career high WTA ranking was at the 933rd spot. At Princeton, she was named an ITA Scholar Athlete in 2023 and 2024 and was awarded an Academic All-Ivy honor in 2025. Studying Psychology, Bennetto graduated from Princeton with the highest honors in Psychology and was awarded the Miller-Schroeder Memorial Prize for her senior thesis. Bennetto intends to study Cultural Foundations and Disability Studies at Syracuse.
Emma Scaldalai- Sterrebeek, Belgium
Scaldalai is a freshman studying International Relations and Affairs. In her career, she has won two Junior ITF doubles titles and has had an extensive background in many ITF tournaments.
