Five Orange Named to Men's Soccer All-ACC Academic Team

CHARLOETTE, N.C.- The Syracuse men's soccer team had five players named to the 2025 All-ACC Academic Team, the Atlantic Coast Conference announced on Thursday afternoon.
Senior Ernest Mensah Jr. (economics), junior Nathan Scott (communications) and sophomores Kristjan Fortier (entrepreneurship and emerging enterprises), Garrett Holman (management) and Chimere Omeze (communications) were all named to the list.
Fortier received back-to-back recognition as the midfielder was named to the All-ACC Academic Team last season as well.
Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a 3.0 grade-point average for the previous two semesters and 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career, while being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and being classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.
The Orange come off a 9-8-3 season, including a semifinal appearance in the ACC Championship and a bid to the NCAA tournament.Â
On the field, the five Orange players accounted for 22 points this season including seven goals and eight assists.
