One Team. One Goal. One Orange.
Today, Syracuse University Athletics, in partnership with One Orange Alliance, announced a significant and innovative initiative to advance its Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) strategy, expanding opportunities for student-athletes across every Orange program. Â Â
This initiative reflects a broader shift in the modern collegiate athletics landscape, where the value of the business community is more important than ever. One Orange Alliance is designed to create meaningful economic opportunities for Syracuse student-athletes while delivering measurable marketing value and return on investment for corporate partners. Today's announcement represents the first step in building a comprehensive, long-term NIL and commercial strategy that will continue to evolve in the months and years ahead.
One Orange Alliance, formerly SU Football NIL, connects corporate partners with Syracuse student-athletes to develop and execute a wide range of NIL-driven marketing, branding, and business initiatives intended to create mutual value.
"By aligning third-party NIL efforts for each of our programs under one entity, our teams will be better positioned for success in this transformative era of college athletics," said incoming Director of Athletics Bryan B. Blair. "The passion and energy of our Syracuse community is unmatched. Having a true one-team mindset enables our student-athletes to benefit from the full support of Orange Nation. One Orange Alliance will further our student-athletes' NIL opportunities and streamline the process for all of our stakeholders to get involved.
"Just as importantly, this model is built to be uniquely Syracuse and create real value for our partners - from local businesses to national brands - while positioning Syracuse Athletics to compete and win at the highest level. I'm incredibly appreciative of Colby Clark and our partners at One Orange Alliance. We know there is significant opportunity ahead for Syracuse in this space, and we have work to do to fully capitalize on the strength of this brand and this community. This is the foundation of a much broader strategy that will continue to expand how we engage our business community, fans, and supporters."
One Orange Alliance serves as a marketing agency to provide supplemental NIL opportunities for Syracuse student-athletes. This is in addition to the maximum in revenue-share that many student-athletes receive from the University as permissible by the House v. NCAA settlement terms.
"As a proud member of the Central New York business community, I know first-hand the impact that Syracuse Athletics success has on this community," said Colby Clark, President of One Orange Alliance. "When our teams rise, our community rises. We have been proud to support Syracuse Football since the inception of SU Football NIL in the fall of 2023. Now it's time to expand that effort to every team and we look forward to this new chapter supporting all of Syracuse Athletics."
One Orange Alliance is structured to engage the full spectrum of the Central New York and national business community, from small and emerging businesses to established regional companies and major corporate partners, by providing flexible entry points to align with Syracuse Athletics and its student-athletes in authentic, impactful, and results-driven ways.
Corporate partners can collaborate with student-athletes on marketing and branding initiatives, while individuals can contribute directly here. As the platform evolves, future offerings will include subscription-based content and enhanced access opportunities for fans, alumni, and supporters, further expanding engagement across Orange Nation.
One Orange Alliance's marketing efforts are designed to drive meaningful financial opportunities for Syracuse student-athletes while delivering measurable value to partners through brand alignment, audience engagement, and integrated marketing strategies. Through these partnerships, student-athletes benefit not only financially, but also through professional development opportunities that help them grow their personal brands and build connections with the business community. Syracuse student-athletes will be available for event appearances, social and traditional media partnerships, and other appropriate marketing and advertising activities.
As part of Syracuse Athletics' long-term vision, One Orange Alliance will serve as a foundational pillar within a broader commercial and engagement strategy. Future phases will expand opportunities across content, storytelling, fan engagement, and premium corporate partnerships, creating additional pathways for major donors, national brands, and strategic partners to invest in and align with Syracuse Athletics in meaningful ways.
In addition to One Orange Alliance, fans can still provide support to the 'Cuse Athletic Fund, which supports the student-athlete experience and our teams directly. Gifts to 'CAF are tax deductible, and provide individuals a variety of ways to support Syracuse Athletics.
What Syracuse Coaches are Saying:
Fran Brown – Head Football Coach
"My hope has always been for our NIL efforts for every sport to be under one umbrella, because SU together makes SU better. When one of us wins, we all win. I've seen the work SU Football NIL has done with our student-athletes over the last three years and I'm excited that the efforts will expand those opportunities to student-athletes in every sport. I want all our teams to be successful and I think working together as one is the best way to accomplish that."
Gary Gait – Head Men's Lacrosse Coach
"Syracuse Lacrosse is truly like no other program in the sport, with the best fans in the country. Orange Alliance gives our community an opportunity to provide our student-athletes with the resources to compete at the highest level. Being part of a unified NIL effort across all of Syracuse Athletics means our players benefit from the strength of not only the best lacrosse fans in the country, but from the entire Orange family and that's a powerful thing."
Felisha Legette-Jack – Head Women's Basketball Coach
"Syracuse Women's Basketball is on the rise and One Orange Alliance will help create the necessary opportunities for us to take the next step. As someone proud to call Syracuse home, I know what Syracuse Athletics means to this community. I'm excited to see what we can all accomplish together now that we have one organization to support everyone. We Fight On – Together!"
Gerry McNamara – Head Men's Basketball Coach
"When I came back to Syracuse, I told you I was here to win. In order to win in this era, you need a strong NIL program for your student-athletes. One Orange Alliance provides those resources and opportunities not only to Syracuse Men's Basketball, but to all of our programs."
Regy Thorpe – Head Women's Lacrosse Coach
"This is a great day for every Syracuse student-athlete. Having One Orange Alliance in our corner means our players can focus on competing and winning while knowing there's a strong support system behind them. Syracuse Women's Lacrosse is ready to take full advantage of what this partnership makes possible, and I'm proud that we're all building toward something bigger together."
