Volleyball Set to Participate in 2026 Showdown at the Net, Host Arkansas

Syracuse Volleyball is among the ACC teams participating in the 2026 Showdown at the Net, which features 16 ACC teams taking on programs from the SEC. The Orange are slated to host the Arkansas Razorbacks on Wednesday, September 9 at the Women's Building with a time to be announced later.
The Orange bring a new-look roster to 2026, headlined by rising sophomore Marie Laurio. In her rookie year, she compiled 55 kills and 93 digs. She was crucial in the Orange's five-set win over Boston College when she logged 13 digs and 10 kills off the bench.
Head coach Bakeer Ganesharatnam has retooled the roster, including adding Mira Ledermueller after a standout season with UT-Arlington. She was named WAC Setter of the Week five times, the most of any player in the league and posted a career-high 943 assists over 104 sets. Her 9.07 assists per set led the WAC.
The Orange will take on the Razorbacks as part of their non-conference slate before beginning ACC-play.
