Eight Syracuse University student-athletes were named to the CSC Academic All-District At-Large teams.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. At-large honorees are for sports that do not have an individual academic All-America program.
Acorn Cassidy (women's rowing), Lieke Leeggangers (field hockey), Charlotte Hallett (ice hockey), Emma Muchnick (women's lacrosse) and Coco Vandiver (women's lacrosse) represented the Syracuse women, while men's lacrosse players Jordan Beck, Riley Figueiras and Finn Thomson are the men.
Cassidy, Leggangers, Muchnick and Vandiver were also selected to advance to the national ballot for consideration to be an Academic All-American.
Beck appeared in 19 games with 16 starts for the Orange, who reached Championship Weekend for the second-straight year this season. A finance major, he had eight caused turnovers and 19 ground balls.
Cassidy, a CRCA-Pocock Second Team All-American and All-ACC selection this season, helped the Orange to a program-best ninth-place finish at the NCAA Rowing Championships in May. She is majoring in physics and applied mathematics.
Figueiras stared every game at close defense for the Orange, leading the team with 26 caused turnovers. His 59 ground balls were also the most among any field player. He majored in health and exercise science and was a USILA Third Team All-American this season.
A forensic science and psychology major, Hallett appeared in 36 games and tallied six goals and two assists while playing on defense.
Leeggangers majored in psychology and was an NFHCA Second Team All-American this season and first team All-ACC selection. She saw action in 20 games with 19 starts and netted three goals for the Orange, who reached the NCAA Quarterfinals this season.
Muchnick finished her Orange career as an Inside Lacrosse and US Lacrosse All-American and was drafted by the WLL Draft by the California Palms. A sport management major, Muchnick was third on the team with 25 goals this season and helped 'Cuse reach the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
Thomson led all goal scorers with 45 for the Orange men's lacrosse team this season. A communication and rhetorical studies major, Thomson started every game on attack this season.
Vandiver, a fellow California Palms draftee, was named to every major All-America team (Inside Lacrosse, US Lacrosse, IWLCA) this year and had 48 caused turnovers. She owns the program's career caused turnovers record with 122. An All-ACC honoree, Vandiver was one of the 25 semifinalists for the Tewaaraton Award this season.
