Orange Part of Boston Hall of Fame Series
6/2/2026 1:00:00 PM | Men's Basketball
Syracuse will renew its long-standing rivalry with Providence as part of the Hall of Fame Series in Boston on Dec. 19 at TD Garden, according to Position Sports, in partnership with the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
The Series will also include a 2026 NCAA Championship game rematch between Connecticut and Michigan on Nov. 6.
"Syracuse is excited to participate in the Hall of Fame Series Boston event versus Providence at TD Garden on Dec. 19," said Syracuse Coach Gerry McNamara. "We appreciate the opportunity to return to New England, an area that includes a large and enthusiastic group of SU alumni and fans. Syracuse has a rivalry with Providence that dates more than 55 years, and we look forward to the challenge of competing against the Friars."
Â
"Boston has quickly established itself as one of the premier destinations for elite college basketball, and this winter's slate at TD Garden is a reflection of that," said Melissa Meacham-Grossman, President of Position Sports. "Having UConn, Michigan, Syracuse, and Providence all come through the city in a single season speaks to the demand in this market and the relationships we have built here. We are proud to keep raising the bar for what the Hall of Fame Series delivers in New England."
