Lucie Morris has joined Syracuse Athletics as the Assistant Director of Administrative Operations and Special Assistant to the Director of Athletics, Bryan B. Blair announced. Â
Â
Morris joins the Orange from the NCAA national office, where she most recently served on the organization's leadership development team. She will serve in a newly created position designed to strengthen executive operations, cross-departmental collaboration and strategic execution across Syracuse Athletics.Â
In her role, Morris will coordinate executive communications, leadership team alignment, cross-functional initiatives and the implementation of departmental priorities. She will also oversee key operational workflows within the Office of the Director of Athletics while serving as a central point of coordination across the department.Â
 Â
"I am thrilled to join Syracuse Athletics at such an exciting time for the Orange," Morris said. "I am grateful to Bryan Blair for the opportunity to join his team and for his commitment to building departments that change lives and invest in people. Syracuse has an exciting future, and I look forward to helping move this department, this community, and its student-athletes forward."
Â
Morris spent the past year as a member of the NCAA Postgraduate Internship Program, serving on the organization's leadership development team. Widely regarded as one of the most selective and respected early-career leadership programs in college athletics, the program has produced numerous athletic directors, conference commissioners, NCAA executives and professional sports leaders.Â
A 2025 summa cum laude graduate of the University of Toledo, Morris previously interned in both the athletic development and student-athlete development offices as an undergraduate and played a crucial role in the strategic planning initiatives of the department. Â
Â
"Lucie is one of the most impressive young professionals I've had the opportunity to work alongside," said Blair. "She possesses a level of maturity, judgment and emotional intelligence that is uncommon at any stage of a career. Her experience through the NCAA, combined with her leadership as a student-athlete, gives her a unique perspective that will make our department better. She will enhance how we communicate, collaborate and execute as we continue building the future of Syracuse Athletics."Â
"As college athletics continues to evolve, building an organization that communicates effectively and executes at a high level is essential. Lucie will play an important role in helping us do exactly that."Â
Â
An all-conference student-athlete, Morris was a nominee for Mid-American Conference Swimmer of the Year as a senior. She received All MAC Academic and CSC Academic All-District honors and was named to the President's List for seven-straight semesters. She served as the SAAC President for two years and participated in the Council of Student Athletes, advocating for the student-athlete voice. Â
Â
Morris hails from Arcanum, Ohio. Â
